Book review: Web Marketing for Estate Agents

estate agent guide to marketing on the web

This eBook was written by an estate agent in Valencia, Spain and a very successful one at that. Graham Hunt has more than survived the current down turn in the property market by using the very latest tools available on the Internet. That includes mobile phones, the iPad and social networking.

Web Marketing for Estate Agents is a step by step guide, it gives examples on how to use the latest tools, the best ways to exploit social media and how to reach customers.

While this eBook is for estate agents, there is no reason why it can’t be used for any business to be more successful. It really is packed with essential information.

Graham tells his story from the beginning, how he broke his shoulder and the difficulties he had running his business from his sick bed. How he learnt to use the tools that were available to reach out to customers and make sales.

He presents 3 years of learning in a concise form that allows you to replicate what he has achieved.

The book features chapters on using Facebook and Twitter, using email newsletters, apps for the iPad that can help make the job easier and how to follow up and clinch sales.

For me the most interesting sections were about using a blog and integrating it in to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Graham has also written about how to make use of forums and how to deal with those who still have a dim view of estate agents. Great stuff for any business.

There are chapters that are very particular to estate agency but there are plenty of others that can be adapted to other business types. Besides, the idea Graham put’s forward of ‘customer is king’ should be an accepted practice for all.

The eBook is in PDF format so should be readable on most devices. While it is only 97 pages it does a great job of explaining the techniques and the methods you need.

You can buy this eBook, Web Marketing for Estate Agents for €27, which makes it great value!

I shall be reading it again shortly as there were many tips I know I want to be using.

  1. We have recently established our own estate agency in Sheffield. It’s certainly a tough time to get into this business but things are off to a great start. I found your site whilst I was doing some research.
