abroadband is offering a broadband solution for occasional visitors to France. Of course it will also come in handy when you need access to the Internet when away from the home or office. The abroadband service is provided by Telekom Austria,
Craig McGinty reports on This French Life (Is that contract-free mobile broadband in France I see?)…
Abroadband offers a number of options starting with a regular SIM card, a MicroSIM which is suitable for gadgets such as the iPad or a USB modem that plugs into the side of your laptop.
And they then charge a flat rate of €0.59 per Megabyte, with an online cost manager so you can see how much you’ve spent and also a reminder service that automatically informs you when your charges reach €60.
The initial costs are €9.90 for the SIM or MicroSIM card, and €49.90 for the USB modem with included abroadband SIM card.
There is one additional charge and that is €10, but that is only applied if you don’t use your SIM card within a one year period.
