How to easily write 3 blog posts with relevancy in mind

I have previously mentioned relevancy using a top level page and quite a few linked posts. You can also achieve relevancy by using a short chain of linked pages. This is perfect for business as it takes a lot less effort and uses what happens within your industry and day to day activities.

Lets take as an example an event that occurs within your industry. There are 3 basic stages; it’s going to happen, it is happening, it has happened.

The first post you write links out to the event. The next post reminds readers that it is happening. If you are attending then take plenty of photo’s and use them. The last post is a round up of your experience and what you saw.

Each post links to the one before, with the first linking out to the event website. We end up with a chain like this…

If you have written posts like this before, you might be in the habit that each post links back to the event website, site ‘x’. However, by forming a chain like above we achieve…

  • A series of posts that are relevant to each other
  • A set of posts that allows the reader to click to the post before, effectively a history or background to the subject of the posts

We have not only created a set post related posts but given the reader a mini story. It’s also a great way of creating multiple posts from a single subject.
